Separate pricing is available for both standard releases (source code not
included) and professional releases (runtime source code included) of Prof's
Components™ libraries. Both shareware and registered versions of Prof's Components™ are available. The shareware versions can be used for evaluation purposes only, and are not functionally limited in any way, except that a registration dialog is launched every time an application using the Prof's Components™ library is loaded into memory. Each registered copy grants one developer a non-exclusive license to include and distribute the library royalty-free within one or more compiled applications. The royalty-free status comes with the proviso that the resulting application does not constitute competition for Prof's Components™. That is, it cannot be used to create and market a library similar to Prof's Components™, which can be used to give an application the same capabilities. At this stage, we're keen to keep the distribution and support of the product as 'friction-free' as possible. Being developers ourselves, we know that the developer community is far more interested in fast but stable tools and knowledgeable technical support than in glossy manuals and the like!
