Korbitec is a software development company with more than 20 years experience in the IT industry. We employ 160 personnel, of which over 50 are full-time developers working at our head office in Cape Town, South Africa.
The business is a private company whose senior executives are the principal shareholders. Most of the firm's partners have been together since the inception of the company in the 1970s. Over the years, our software has garnered several awards and twice we have been elected to the list of South Africa's "top-20 non-listed companies" (as audited by Arthur Andersen).
Since the release of Delphi 1 in 1996, our 50-strong R&D team has been using this platform to develop applications and systems. Along the way, its members have deftly designed and developed many re-usable Delphi components to enhance our own products. Owing to a constant demand from other developers, these components are now being made commercially available under the brand name "Prof's Components™".
Our other developer-centric products include GhostFill Developer, which is a set of document assembly components supporting RTF, HTML, TXT and PDF formats, and, of course, the well-known ODBCExpress, a suite of ODBC data access components. To find out more about us go to www.korbitec.com.
